A Small but Mighty Group Welcome to the Sparta Evangelical Free Church Nursery Ministry. We are thrilled that you have chosen to worship with us here at the Sparta Evangelical Free Church, and that you have entrusted your children to us during that time. We will do our best to prove worthy of that trust.
We believe that children are a precious gift entrusted to us by the Lord. We work diligently to be worthy of that trust, and we seek to provide care and training for even our youngest children. Training that, ultimately, leads to a decision to make Jesus Christ their personal Savior and Lord. When Jesus said, “let the little children come unto Me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such˙ as these” in Matthew 19:14, we believe that is the charge to us, as adults, to provide a caring ministry where children will be drawn to the Son who loves them so much!
We are available to care for children during most scheduled church events.

The nursery is available 15 minutes before Sunday School, and throughout the Worship Services.

We also offer a Learner’s Program for children ages 3-5 that begins with dismissal at mid-service. Please pick up your children immediately after the service.
Who We Serve...

Infants - 6 weeks to 18 months

Toddlers - 18 mo’s to 3 years (walking)

Those old enough for the TODDLER’S nursery will enjoy toys, books, coloring, singing and other activities. Our nursery staff works hard to make church a pleasurable first environment to learn about
Jesus.

Learners - 3 through 5 years

Our LEARNER’S Program is somewhat more structured in format - our goal with learners is to begin integrating our children into the congregational worship service. Children will participate with their families in the beginning of the Worship Hour, and will then be excused for learner’s activities. They will have singing, snacks, a Bible activity, a small craft, and a Bible story. They will also have group prayer time. These activities are designed to help our children learn to sit for longer periods, while teaching them at a young age what church is all about - in a format they can understand and enjoy.
