Come join our class as we continue to unfold God’s plan for the ages and understand your role in His program. The topics ahead will include the Church, the Sabbath and the Lord’s Day, the Gentiles in history and prophecy and the doctrine of last things (eschatology).
Connecting - Leaders: Al Myhren, Allen Bentson & Kelly Jones Fireside C
Are you a disciple of Christ? If so, what does that mean? What does it look like? Jesus called us, "to make disciples". Are you? Do you know how? When Jesus called the original twelve disciples, He called ordinary men from all different walks of life and turned them into some of the most influential men to ever live. Can He do the same for us today? Can we, in turn, empower those that we come in contact with to meet their potential as servants of God? Join us as we find out how.
Shepherding Today’s Teens – Leader: Gavin & Sue Stobie Fireside B
This class is designed for parents of teens or soon-to-be-teens, and provides a Christian perspective on raising teens in our times. Topics include understanding a teen’s needs, understanding the parents’ role, understanding a teen’s behavior, and developing boundaries and guidelines for teen behavior that will help to support healthy and peaceful relationships in the home. The format is a video lecture taught by Mark Gregston (www.heartlightministries.org), who has worked in ministry with troubled teens since 1989. Note: Participants will be asked to do homework each week and participate in active class discussions.
Young Professionals – The Case for Christ – Leader: Matt Seeland & Bob Meara Worship Center
Sounds of guilt, anxiety, anger, despair, addictions, and even entertainment can generate overwhelming noise in our souls. The quiet rest and joy promised by the Lord Jesus can seem illusive, and almost impossible. Yet His words still beckon to us: “Come unto Me, all ye that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.” (Matthew 11:28) The Quieting a Noisy Soul DVD series provides the roadmap out of the turmoil for the struggling believer. At the same time its biblical truths will bring added joy and peace to the soul of any believer seeking greater intimacy with the Lord Jesus.
Men’s Class – Isaiah - Leaders: Bob Heimall & Hank Biggs Library
"IRON SHARPENS IRON" defines this men's "Intentional Discipleship" class using the Book of Isaiah as our guide. Both The New Testament and Isaiah present the Lord Jesus Christ as the central theme. Isaiah has been called the fifth evangelist, and the Book of Isaiah has been called the fifth gospel. Christ's virgin birth, His character, His life, His death, His resurrection, and His second coming are all presented in Isaiah. Our class discusses how the Lord Jesus Christ wants to make us His disciples using our everyday life experiences following Him.
